As a bearing element with matching counter-running surfaces, the axial cylindrical roller ring absorbs very high axial loads in one direction, while maintaining a low overall height and low running resistance. Defined axial guidance and high stiffness enable reproducible operating behavior, and radial loads are guided separately.

A precision cage guides cylindrical rollers and ensures linear contact for load distribution. Finely machined contact surfaces keep frictional torque low and promote smooth running. Furthermore, the separable, assembly-friendly design facilitates joining with the separate mating surfaces. For this purpose, flat, hardened, and load-bearing mating surfaces are used on the shaft and housing, as the angular adjustability is very limited. Depending on the version, the ring is constructed with a polyamide cage (TV), manufactured to tolerance class P0, and implemented with raceway-compatible steel components.
