The axial cylindrical roller ring, in combination with suitable counter-running surfaces, carries very high axial loads in one direction, while maintaining a low overall height and smooth running characteristics. Defined axial guidance and high stiffness enable reproducible operating behavior, and radial loads are guided separately.

A precision cage guides the cylindrical rollers, distributing the load over a narrow zone through linear contact. Finely machined contact surfaces promote low friction and thus smooth running. Furthermore, the separable and easy-to-assemble design allows for quick and easy joining with the separate mating surfaces. This is achieved using flat, hardened, and load-bearing raceways on the shaft and housing, with minimal angular adjustability. Depending on the version, the rim is constructed with a polyamide cage (TV), manufactured to tolerance class P0, and implemented with raceway-compatible steel components.
