The axial cylindrical roller ring, in combination with suitable counter-running surfaces, carries very high axial loads in one direction, while maintaining a low overall height and smooth running characteristics. Defined axial guidance and high stiffness enable reproducible operating behavior, and radial loads are guided separately.
Design and manufacturing quality
A precision cage guides cylindrical rollers and ensures linear contact for load distribution. Finely machined contact surfaces promote low frictional torque and thus smooth running. Furthermore, the separable, assembly-friendly design facilitates joining with the separate mating surfaces. For this purpose, flat, hardened, and sufficiently load-bearing raceways are provided on both the shaft and housing sides, while the angular adjustability remains very limited due to the design. Depending on the version, the ring is constructed with a polyamide cage (TV), manufactured to tolerance class P0, and implemented with raceway-compatible steel components.

In practice, the bearing exhibits high axial stiffness with minimal installation space and maintains constant temperature and vibration levels.
