As a bearing element with matching counter-running surfaces, the axial cylindrical roller ring absorbs very high axial loads in one direction, while maintaining a low overall height and low running resistance. Defined axial guidance and high stiffness enable reproducible operating behavior, and radial loads are guided separately.

Design and manufacturing quality
A precision cage guides cylindrical rollers and ensures linear contact for load distribution. Finely machined contact surfaces keep frictional torque low and promote smooth running. Furthermore, the separable, assembly-friendly design facilitates joining with the separate mating surfaces. For this purpose, flat, hardened, and load-bearing raceways are used on the shaft and housing, with very little angular adjustability. Depending on the version, the ring is constructed with a polyamide cage (TV), manufactured to tolerance class P0, and implemented with raceway-compatible steel components.

In operation, the design achieves high axial stiffness in a very compact footprint, which promotes stable temperature and vibration levels. Furthermore, the separate discs allow for quick handling, thus reducing downtime. In addition, a suitable lubrication and fit concept ensures consistently stable performance over the long term.
