C 2212 KTN9/C3 – CARB roller bearing for smooth running under thermal expansion

The CARB roller bearing can withstand very high radial loads. It automatically compensates for angular misalignment and simultaneously allows for axial length compensation of the shaft within the housing. The low frictional torque promotes smooth running and a stable temperature level. This makes the bearing particularly suitable as a floating bearing in arrangements with thermally induced expansion.

Design and manufacturing quality
Raceways and profiled rollers reduce edge pressure and promote consistent rolling contact. A stable cage guide and finely machined contact surfaces keep frictional torque low. Thus, the bearing combines angular compensation and axial displacement in a single unit. Depending on the version, the bearing is available with a tapered bore (1:12), an open design, and a TN9 polyamide cage. Mounting via an adapter sleeve is possible.

Convincing in everyday life
During operation, the process windows remain stable even with misalignment and length changes; temperature and vibration levels develop uniformly, and edge pressures are reduced. For significant axial loads, other bearing designs are more suitable.
