3314 A-2Z/C3 – Angular contact ball bearing (double row) for compact double-sided axial guidance.

This bearing design is intended for combined loads. Double-row versions carry axial loads in both directions and simultaneously absorb radial forces. They compactly replace a bearing pair and save installation space. The focus is on smooth running, high speed capability, reproducible results, and defined axial guidance.

Design and manufacturing quality
Staggered raceways with a defined contact angle in each row ensure axial rigidity. Finely machined raceways reduce friction and promote smooth running. The cage is made of sheet steel. Double-row versions combine the function of a bearing pair in a compact design. In this version, the 2Z design with protective discs on both sides shields against coarse contaminants. The outer ring features a groove with a snap ring (NR) for positioning. Tolerances are within tolerance class Normal (P0). Angular adjustability is limited; precise alignment is recommended.

Convincing in everyday life
In practice, consistent stiffness, uniform temperature and vibration levels, and predictable quality are observed even with frequent start/stop cycles and high cutting data. Other bearing designs are better suited for purely radial heavy loads.
